Just like straight out of a Brady Bunch episode, my morning was spent eating a plentiful brunch with my family. All in onesie pajamas. If you are unfamiliar with this particular garment, do some research and invest in one- unless you are against feeling like you are constantly enveloped in a warm hug.
On the menu: chewy brownie bites, moist banana bread, bacon-chocolate pancakes (with Nutella syrup), housemade granola, old fashioned raspberry jam, and a cozy shakshuka dish.
Shakshuka: [A Middle Eastern dish composed of poached eggs in a tomato sauce made with peppers and cumin. I jacked this one up with melty gruyère cheese.]
After polishing up our plates, we proceeded to watch viral cat videos together. ie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQeIDhz-_eg
As I’m typing this, I am laughing at the hilarity of the mental image of a family of 6 in onesies watching cat videos. Still, I can’t think of a better way to give thanks this Canadian thanksgiving.
